中华文明源远流长；中国的故事是史诗。在我们生活的新时代，我们需要讲好中国的故事，传递中国优秀的文化和价值观，让中国人民不仅为自己灿烂的文明感到骄傲，也让世界了解和理解中国。让我们一起来欣赏一下北外高一高二《中国故事》英语演讲比赛的选手们的风采。

潘起元讲了龚宇移山的故事。通过讲述龚宇不畏艰难、锲而不舍、深山老林的故事，他接触了现代著名人物马云，通过自己的努力考上了大学，从未放弃自己的工作，最终取得了成功。他认为我们应该继续努力，勇敢克服困难，永不放弃。

Hard work and never giving up lead to the success. Different people have different ideas about the key to the success. Do you want to be a successful person? That makes me think of a story.

There are many successful people around us who have the spirit of Yu Gong. Do you know Ma Yun? Ma Yun is successful because he works hard and never gives up at any time. He dreamed of going to college when he was a child. He became interested in English when he was twelve. Although it rained heavily, he didn"t give up learning English and he kept on riding his bike to a small hotel to study English. He tried his best to study every subject and overcame all the difficulities. He took the college entrance examination three times, but he didn’t give up. Finally, he was admitted to Hangzhou Normal University. After graduation, he was successful and he set up a company.
