　　Reference的使用方法

　　Reference一共有两种方法。

　　第一种：Quoting。

　　这是一种最简单、最快捷、也是最容易，也是最不建议的一种引用形式。

　　第二种：paraphrasing

　　是最好的，最建议使用的一种引用形式，不过，有一定的难度。

　　Quoting和paraphrasing在本质上没有区别：都是在Essay写作中通过别人Essay或观点论证自己观点的一种方式。

　　Paraphrase比Quoting技术含量更高主要有以下三点原因：

　　可以体现你对原文的理解

　　可以让你用浅显易懂的话来解释一个复杂的观点或陈述

　　可以让你把重点放在原文中与你的Essay最为相关的部分。

　　因此，虽然Quoting比paraphrasing要容易、简单、快捷、方便。但是还是强烈建议你使用paraphrasing来作为引用方式。

　　Quoting一般仅仅只有在：

　　你的论证必须使用原文中的某些确切措辞（例如当你需要解释原文中的术语含义时）

　　原文以特别有用的方式表达了某些内容

　　毕竟这是属于你的Essay，大部分都应该是你自己的话。

　　而且需要谨记的是在上一篇Essay中提到过的，无论是quote还是paraphrase，都需要标注来源哦。

　　paraphrasing注意的五个点

　　一定要确保你的paraphrasing，能准确的陈述作者的意图，不能有任何更改，如果你在paraphrasing中有任何更改，那都是不对的。

　　不能只是更换同义词，在完全不改变内容和格式的情况下，将除主语之外的动词、形容词、介词….只把这些词做同义词的替换，然后把句子直接放到自己的Essay中。

　　千万！千万！千万！不要这么做，这种的完全不是改写，这也算是抄袭，同义词替换抄袭！

　　确保你的版本已经准确表达了原文作者的意思、没有遗漏需要的内容，要用你自己的话说出别人的研究结果和内容。

　　注意标注来源，除了一些众所周知的内容，比如：每个人都需要呼吸，人不吃饭会饿死，吃多了会很撑等等，这些不需要引用来源。

　　如果是：长时间的暴饮暴食会引发胃部疾病、会出现什么样的症状，这种病症的名称等等，这一类的内容就必须要加上来源。

　　专业知识和词汇使用要正确。Essay字数要控制在规定的字数内，不能多于或少于规定字数的10%。

　　案例

　　我们来看一个例子：

　　Those whose self-esteem is low do not necessarily see themselves as worthless or wicked,but they seldom say good things about themselves.(Psychology by David G.Myers,page 608)

　　假设我们要引用这个句子，你看看下面的哪个改写符合要求：

　　Those who have very low self-steem do not usually think of themselves as worthless or wicked,but they rarely say good things about themselves.(Myers,2013)

　　According to Myers(2013),people with poor self-respect hardly ever talk favourably about themselves,although this does not mean that they view themselves negatively.(…)

　　揭晓答案，第二种是最好的，第一种相似度太高，第三种虽然相似度不高，但是写法不规范，最后没有附上文献资料。

　　然后我们看一看完整版改写后应该是什么样的

　　Myers(2013)believes that people with low self-respect do not inevitably view themselves as evil or worthless;however,they rarely talk positively about themselves.

　　In Myers’(2013)opinion,although they hardly ever speak favourably about themselves,people who have poor self-esteem do not inevitably perceive themselves as useless or bad.
