　　How to develop a thesis

　　一般，thesis指的是文章的论题，也就是你要论证的话题。通常，一篇文章的thesis是通过thesis statement（中心论点）来体现的。要想develop我们的thesis，写好thesis statement是第一步。那么，为什么thesis statement如此重要呢？

　　A thesis statement conveys to the reader the points and/or arguments you wish to make in a paper.It serves as a road map that forecasts what the essay is going to be about and the direction of your argument or analysis,and how you will interpret the importance of the subject.It also helps the writer organize his or her writing.

　　文章的中心论点可以传达这篇文章的主要内容，论点等。同时，它也帮助读者了解作者之后将以什么样的角度和方式展开和分析论点。很大程度上来说，中心论点对下文起到了一个“预示作用”。另外，它还能帮助作者组织自己的文章。通常，thesis statement是由topic+claim两部分组成的。topic是主题，而claim就是你要传达的内容，你的观点和态度。关于英文Assignment代写的结构，大家可以参考我们之前的文章相信对你有所启发。

　　Making An Argument

　　除了写好thesis statement以外，要想进一步发展自己的论题，想好有理有据的分论点（making an argument）也很重要。

　　首先，要提醒大家的是，the purpose of making an argument is an attempt to convince someone to accept an idea or policy or take some action。因此，我们在做的是一种“persuasive writing”,即具有说服性的写作。我们所做的一切不仅是表达自己，也是要达到说服的目的。

　　说服他人的前提是说服自己。因此，我每次在写Assignment的分论点的时候，都会先列一个argument chain（类似于一个自己的论证框架），这样做能让自己清楚地看到自己的论点，论据，立场等。下面这个是我自己列的一个sample，大家可以参考下！

　　说得简单一点，这个argument chain包含了立场，论点。论据以及我们所说的counterargument，也就是进行反驳的论点。加入了counterargument以后，我们的文章就会更丰满，更有说服力。
